Since the new government came into power, one notable trend that has happened is the appointment of new people into power and that trend continues as just today, news broke out that President Tinubu retired all service chiefs, advisers, comptroller general of customs, appointing new ones.
Among the new people appointed is DIG Kayode Egbetokun as Acting Inspector General of Police. Egbetokun’s appointment comes after his successful tenure as the 30th Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Zone 7, Abuja, a position he assumed on October 25, 2022.
After the appointment, an old photo quickly went viral online, showing the likes of Tinubu, Prof Osinbajo and the man at the back of Tinubu who was identified as the new IGP of Police.
