A young lady who was posted to a remote village to work as a teacher for her Ghana national service program, has become known as ‘ The Sewing Teacher.’
Janet Asibi aka Ama Val, upon arrival to the village discovered that a lot of pupils in the community school she was deployed to, did not have a uniform or their uniforms were torn and so, she decided to get a sewing machine to solve the problem.
The lady, who was posted to Nsoatre SDA primary school situated at Bono Region, has now sewn for different schools in the community and wants to take the project to the national level when she gets support.
With the help of one sewing machine that she had learned to use, to sew uniforms for the pupils at absolutely no cost.
