Popular monarch, Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi who’s well-known as Ooni of Ife has taken to his verified Instagram page to share lovely photos with his 6 wives as he celebrates them and other outstanding women in Nigeria on International women’s day.
Ooni of Ife affirms that today is women’s day and our ambition as a country must be to renew our pledge of building a global society in which women are given equal honor and the resources they need to achieve their fullest potential.
He said our amazing birthright, cradle, adolescence, and even adulthood are tied to their aprons, adding that without their sacrifices, hard work, and invaluable efforts, our societies would have fractured, household cultures would have been negatively impacted, and the communities would have suffered.
He said we must reminisce on their powerful contributions to our national treasure through the prism of history, thanking Legends such as Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti, Margaret Ekpo, Alimotu Pelewura, Mama Aduni, Mabel Segun, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Aminu Mohammed, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, and many others for constantly shattering the glass ceiling with their incredible stories.
