However, if they are from someone at Aka’s funeral, that person is a disgrace and should be ashamed”. It is no longer news that the funeral has been trending on social media, especially Twitter, since morning. Yesterday, the memorial service trended at number one spot on Twitter all day long. Many people have been left speechless and traumatised by the death of their supermega. Shortly before the funeral began, Gauteng Premier, Panyaza Lesufi posted that there is hardly any musician in South Africa that has raised the flag of South Africa as high as AKA did within his short-lived, but remarkable and impactful career. Perhaps he made this statement to justify his plan to use state funds for AKA’s funeral.
