First class graduate excited as she gets job she didn’t apply for after being rejected by different firms, shares appointment letter

A lady is in high spirits after her job hunting travails came to an end following an offer of employment she received although she never applied at the company.

Moses Queen, a first class graduate of chemical engineering, finished in 2018 and completed her NYSC programme in 2020 but couldn’t land a job.

She took to LinkedIn to note that while trying to securing this job, her experience wasn’t a palatable one as employers and recruitment officers kept telling her she was over qualified for some jobs she saw, while others told her she was under-qualified and lacking in experience for the big jobs.

Not giving up the search, the determined lady decided to be applying for graduate internship roles but all her efforts proved abortive.

Queen had finally resorted to taking up a volunteering role only to get the shock of her life that she was scheduled for an interview for a job opportunity she didn’t put in an application for.

Sharing a snapshot of the appointment letter, the first class graduate wrote;

”Graduated in 2018 with a first class degree in Chemical Engineering. Bagged best graduating student of both my department and faculty of engineering.

Went for service in 2019 and finished 2020, then reality set in.

Job hunting wasn’t funny with either being over qualified for smaller roles or under qualified with no 5 to 10years experience for bigger roles. My mail was filled with lots of applications for graduate Internship with no positive feedback.

Early February, 2021, I got the opportunity to do a volunteering work for Study Globally courtesy of Engr. Bada (God bless you sir), not up to two weeks later I was invited for an interview for a job role I’ve never applied to.

Finally, I got the job and I resumed today. What a way to start the month.

Thank you Lord.

She has now resumed her job as the Sales Executive.
