According to Skynews, he tested positive for the coronavirus on July 2, 2022, and that same day, he noticed a rash developing on his left arm.

The rash on the 36-year-old patient’s face, torso, and lower limbs turned into small, painful blisters over the next few days.

On July 5, 2022, he sought treatment at a local hospital’s emergency department in Italy, where he was admitted to the infectious disease unit.

Doctors suspected monkeypox infection and collected samples for testing after the man recently travelled to Spain, according to the report.

While in Spain, he also reported having condomless sex with other men, which has been linked to monkeypox, and then he tested positive for monkeypox, HIV, and the coronavirus on July 6, 2022.
