According to Kemi Olunloyo, she wrote “after 19 years, I finally spoke to my second child with the name “Lade” on the phone from Los Angeles”.
Meanwhile, Kemi Olunloyo shared an emotional story of how her son lives in Los Angeles.
“You don’t know what people are going through. Be kind and stop abusing me. While my autistic son was violent and unmanageable in 1999, a US judge ordered Lade to go live with his father and gave me full visitation. I moved away from Maryland to Atlanta, from Atlanta to Ibadan also, Toronto and back to Lagos in the 22 year span. I spoke to my son only via social media inboxes till 2012 when he went silent. I had no contact with his dad’s family but heard there was a big fight involving his stepmother. I heard they are now divorced. I can’t get into details but my son left in anger and nobody saw or heard from him again. I declared him missing in 2014 but he started talking to me in 2021. As overwhelmed as I was, tonight will be the first time speaking to him via voice in 19 years since Valentine’s Day 2003 when I saw him last. He was down, I was down, he told me about his travails with his family and more. Lade is now 30 years old. I praise my God who is not asleep”. Kemi Olunloyo shared.
