The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, said that he is not interested in becoming friends with the Senator representing the headquarter of Nigeria, Ireti Kingibe, eventhough the Lawmaker wants otherwise.
According to Daily Post, the immediate past Governor of Rivers State made the above known during a recent interview with journalists in Abuja. He also allegedly revealed that the Senator is angry as a result of the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, not making her the Chairman of the Senate Committee in the Federal Capital Territory.
Speaking, Wike said that he did not want to be personal with Senator Kingibe. According to him, she went around saying that he is scraping roads because he did not wait for them to start having potholes before taking actions on them.
In continuation, he asked if it is by force for the Lawmaker to be turned down by whom she wants to be friends with.
He went on to disclose that the problem is that she wanted to be the Chairman of the Senate Committee on the territory, but was turned down by Senator Akpabio, the President of the Senate.
