“Buhari Learnt Well From Abacha! Emefiele Is Used As Scapegoat Because Of His Tribe” – Reno Omokri

In response to the report of former SGF, Boss Mustapha, revealing that Emefiele and other CBN workers forged the signature of former President Buhari to launder $6.2 million from the Apex Bank, Reno Omokri has expressed deep frustration.

Boss Mustapha, who testified in court hours ago, alleged that Emefiele and three other CBN staff forged the signature of past President GMB to steal a significant amount of money from the country’s reserve.

Reno Omokri has challenged this statement, asserting that Nigerians are not naive enough to believe such nonsense. He further emphasized that any financial transaction would require the approval of both the finance minister and the president, citing the single treasury account policy implemented by former President Goodluck Jonathan.

He stated: “How can Buhari and his SGF expect Nigerians to believe someone forged Buhari’s signature and withdrew $6.2 million from the Central Bank of Nigeria? It makes no sense. I was close to a President, and it is impossible for $6.2 million to be withdrawn from the treasury without both the President and the Finance Minister being aware of it. As of 2015, the President had a dashboard to see what entered and left the treasury in real-time. Remember, it was President Jonathan, not Buhari, who introduced the Treasury Single Account.”

“It looks to me like some persons are trying to exonerate Buhari from his kleptocracy and use Godwin Emefiele as a scapegoat because he is from a minority ethnic nationality whose members are not considered a threat.  In my opinion, the persons who should be seated on that dock with handcuffs should be Muhamm  Buhari and his nephew, Tunde Sabiu Yusuf, who were the lynchpins of the criminal enterprise that misgoverned Nigeria for eight years. Apparently, Buhari learnt well from Abacha!”, he asserted
