Femi Adesina finally opens up on Buhari’s 8-month sickness, makes stunning revelation

President Muhammadu Buhari’s media and publicity adviser, Femi Adesina, has revealed the president’s 2017 schedule. According to Adesina, Buhari missed eight months of work in 2017 due to illness.

The presidential spokesman revealed this on Channels Television’s Politics.

According to Adesina, the President spent eight months in the UK for treatment in 2017, as Daily Trust reported.

“When he fell sick in January 2017, he came back in March, went again in April and didn’t come back till August 19.

“About all, eight months. That sickness took eight months of his time in the office. Of course, nobody would like that but what we are glad about is that he came whole, sound and better than he went.”

He added that, despite this setback, the President would leave the country in better shape than he met and found it, according to the Daily Trust.

Also from April 11 to 19, President Muhammadu Buhari will travel to Saudi Arabia.

Garba Shehu, the presidential spokesperson, announced this on Monday, April 10.

He says: “Last trip to the Kingdom as President, during which he will perform Umrah, the Lesser Pilgrimage.”
