Chimamanda is not Worthy of our Attention, She Deserves Nothing from us Except Ridicule- Fani Kayode

Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has taken to social media to respond to the open letter that was sent by Nigerian writer, Chimammanda Adiche to US president, Joe Biden about the 2023 presidential election that was conducted few months ago. He gave such response on Instagram.

Recall that award winning writer, Chimamanda Adiche had few days ago written a letter to President Joe Biden, where she questioned Americans for congratulating President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu when the 2023 presidential election was not free, fair and credible.

According to Chimamanda Adiche, Nigerians trooped out on the 25th of February to vote for their preferred candidates because they trusted the 2022 Electoral Act which gave legal backing to the vote counting process, adding that their trust were however, dashed to the ground when evidences of voting irregularities were uploaded online.

Chimamanda Adiche finally called on President Joe Biden to stand up for justice and the rule of law, since he spoke about the importance of a global community for democracy.

Such letter has however raised several reactions from Nigerians, including the spokesperson of the APC 2023 presidential campaign council, Femi Fani-Kayode. Femi Fani-Kayode in reaction to such letter, took to his official Instagram page to criticize Chimamanda Adiche in a post he captioned, “Chimamanda’s epistle of garbage”.

According to Femi Fani-Kayode, Chimamanda Adiche’s letter was hardly worth his time to read and he would not have bordered about it, adding that they do not need to respond to her subjective and self-seeking sentiments.

Speaking further, the APC chieftain noted that the writer is not in their league and she should stick to her fairy tales, adding that her decision to run to foreign leaders and report her compatriots does not sit well with him.

Femi Fani-Kayode went ahead to state that Chimamanda Adiche is not worthy of being called a Nigerian if she does not respect the nation, adding that Africa has come of age and they do not need any congratulatory message from the western nation before they can sleep well.

Femi Fani-Kayode further stated that the election is about the destiny of Nigerians who deserve to have their place under the sun as a free and independent nation, adding that;

“This little diva is not worthy of much of our attention. She deserves nothing from us except ridicule, scorn and contempt.

“She should give us a break, spare the world her unsolicited counsel, desist from denigrating her nation from a foreign land”.
