After LP Won The Election In Lagos, GRV Became Proud; He Saw Himself As Lagos Gov. -Olukayode Salako

Former Labour Party chairman for Lagos State, Olukayode Salako has come out to speak regarding Lagos Labour Party governorship election. In a recent interview he had with News Central TV, he stated that after Labour Party won the election in Lagos, pride came over Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and he started seeing himself as Governor of Lagos State.

Speaking further, Salako asserted that because Labour Party won in Lagos during the presidency election does not automatically mean that Labour Party should win in Lagos again, in the governorship election

When Labour Party won Lagos during the presidential/national assembly election period, all of us were involved. It was a game of all of us, our commitment and passion were there. But immediately after the victory of the party at the prediential election, pride came over Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour. He started seeing himself of Governor of Lagos already”

“You know he is a youth and he is young. People started calling him ‘Your Excellency’ so he thought that because the party had won for presidency then automatically, the same victory will be repeated for the governorship. He would not have made some of us angry if he had not come out openly to start endorsing the candaidate of PDP which was an oppposition party. GRV started talking about PDP and stopped talking about Labour Party again”
