BAR 2-1 RMA: Why Ancelotti is Right In Saying Real Madrid Didn’t Deserve To Lose

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti have reacted to yesterday’s El Clasico defeat to Barcelona at Camp Nou. Meanwhile, the manager is right in saying Real Madrid didn’t deserve to lose for some reason.

Although Barcelona had a more lively start to the game than Real Madrid as the home side created chances upon chances all to no avail. Unfortunately, it was Ronald Araujo who scored his own goal by deflecting Vinicius’s cross. Barcelona tried to give an instant response before Sergi Roberto eventually scored to draw the game level for the Catalonia club.

After many tussles between both sides and some controversial decisions, Kessie became Barcelona’s hero as he scored the winner in stoppage time from Balde’s cut-back pass to take Barcelona 12 points clear at the top of the table.

However, Carlo Ancelotti after the match said Real Madrid deserved to win the game but they lost it due to some details. He was quoted as saying “We are hurt & sad but proud. We didn’t deserve the result.” (as gathered from Madrid News)

Ancelotti added that he is proud of his players and he has a good feeling that they will finish this season very well.

This comment from Ancelotti is right because Real Madrid truly didn’t deserve to lose last night as they had several controversial VAR decisions against them.

Real Madrid was denied a goal before Barcelona got the winning goal and the winning goal might not have stood if VAR reviewed Lewandowski’s foul on Carvajal in the buildup.
