As the Nigerian presidential election draws closer, Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has shared his views on the chances of Asiwaju Tinubu, a candidate from the All Progressive Congress. Four major candidates, including Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Mr Peter Obi, and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu are vying for the presidency in the February 25th poll.
Governor Ortom, who is a member of the G-5 governors protesting for the removal of the national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Iyorchia Ayu, addressed news reporters and revealed that the G-5 governors are no longer in agreement. He disclosed that Wike has chosen to support Asiwaju Tinubu, but among the G-5 governors, only Oyo State would be in favor of Asiwaju Tinubu’s victory.
Governor Ortom opined that “I can bet you; the only state Bola Tinubu will win among the states of G5 governors is Oyo State.”
