It is true that death is cruel; it takes away the good ones and leaves the bad ones. After all, there’s nothing we can do about it. We just live in hope that maybe indeed one day death shall be no more and we will get to see our loved ones again. South Africans have been saddened by the death of famous hip-hop musician AKA, who was killed in a very cruel way.
AKA was killed in a hail of bullets in Durban last week. A stranger just walked up to him and gave him a shot in the head, then several shots were fired from a distance.
He was being laid to his final rest yesterday, but the family said they want to send off their son in a private funeral where only family and close friends will be allowed. Many people were not happy to hear this because they wanted to say their last words and see it live that indeed AKA is buried so that they could believe because to them it still feels like a nightmare. His funeral was never broadcast because media people were not allowed.
Following all that, there’s a video that was taken by one of the friends or family members; the video shows the inside of the burial service for AKA. On the video, his black coffin could be seen being carried by men who were wearing black suits. They put it on the stretcher that was next to two pastors, one of whom was a white man. The coffin was taken down, and close friends and family came to pour soil in the grave—even Kairo did.
His grave is one of the most simple and beautiful, however some people are not happy about it on social media, they claims that it looks cheap. Someone commented “this grave looks cheap where are they taking his money”. Most of black people has a problem, they spend money on burials and forget that there’s still a life to live, with that, I see nothing wrong with this headstone.
