Despite the meeting held in London between the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and his alliws with the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the end to the crisis between the two seems not to be near, as the Governor take a dig at the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP while inaugurating a project in Port Harcourt by saying PDP Chieftains should focus on how they will win their states while he is busy destroying APC structures in Rivers State. Wike said,
“This morning I was watching Channels and I saw former acting National Chairman, Makarfi and he said he is very close to me, I don’t know when last i spoke to him, for the past five months i have not spoken with him, so if you say you are close to somebody politically, there is no way you won’t have spoken to that person in five months. Wike is not competing with other people.
“I want to advise Makarfi, look make sure you win Kaduna state, that is your job, leave Wike. Take it upon yourself that Kaduna will fall in the hands of PDP. I don’t want to hear excuses, they rig elections, they did not rig elections. Make sure PDP win in Kaduna State. In Kano, Jigawa and Niger, make sure PDP wins and see whether we will win here or not.”
