The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, seems to have been resolved as the presidential candidate of the opposition party, Atiku Abubakar has met with the Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike.
Both leaders met in london today and shared dinner together. It can be recalled that they have been at loggerheads following the outcome of the party’s presidential primaries and the selection of Ifeanyi Okowa as vice-presidential candidate.
The Governors of Oyo state, Abia state and Benue state attended the reconciliatory meeting. Speaking on the development, Reno Omokri, a former Presidential aide disclosed that the PDP was united once again.
“We are united! And Governor Wike is a much loved member of our party. Those expecting to see us splinter will wait until winter comes to Nigeria!”
