With the deadline given by the Independent National Electoral Commission for submission of names of candidates and running mates fast approaching, there has been a lot of speculations and suggestions as to who former vice-president Atiku Abubakar should pick as his running mate ahead of the 2023 general elections.
Popular Nigerian broadcaster and multiple awards winning journalist, Babajide Otitoju has not been left out of this suggestion and analysis.
Babajide Otitoju has suggested that PDP’s presidential flag-bearer should appoint Rivers state the governor, Nyesom Wike or Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state as his running mate.
Babajide made the selection some hours ago when he was answering questions in the course of yesterday’s edition of Issues With Jide on TVC.
According to him, Atiku should pick his running mate from the South South region, as it would help him gain massive votes from the region.
“I suggest that Atiku should pick his running mate from the south south if he wants to win, he should be looking in the direction of prominent men like Nyesom Wike and Ifeanyi Okowa if he wants to achieve his ambition.” Babajide Otitoju stated.
