Real Madrid failed to qualify for the 2020/2021 Champions League final after they were eliminated by a tactically sound Chelsea football club in the semifinal of the European premier club competition.
Real Madrid came into the second leg of the Champions League semifinal searching for a win or a scored draw of more than 1 goal, this made them to come all out and play against Chelsea. It didn’t take time before their defense was exposed and Timo Werner scored Chelsea’s first goal, as Kai Harvertz lobbed attempt bounced off the crossbar and fell nicely for fellow German who nodded in nicely.
The second half was the same as Real Madrid saw more of the ball, as they controlled possession, but Chelsea looked more dangerous again, as they missed chance after chance to bury the game, with 7 minutes to go Christian Pulisic combined with Ngolo Kante, before he squared a well weighted pass to Mason Mount who calmly converted and sent Chelsea to the final of the competition.
