Atiku gives condition to end fight with Tinubu

Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president and the Peoples Democratic Party’ s (PDP) presidential candidate for the 2023 election, has stipulated the terms under which he will end his ” fight” with President Bola Tinubu.

Atiku, who finished second in the election, attempted to have the president’ s win overturned in court but was unsuccessful after the Presidential Tribunal dismissed his case.

One of the claims that the presidential election court dismissed was the accusation of forgery. The US court eventually ordered the release of the official documents Atiku is attempting to incorporate in his appeal to the Supreme Court. Despite the court’ s decision, Atiku maintained his argument there.

According to DAILY TRUST, in Abuja on Thursday during a press conference, Atiku claimed he was not prepared to change his course.

” I’ ve already appealed his ruling to the Supreme Court. I won’ t end this fight until the court rules that he is correct; in other words, I won’ t end this fight until the court rules since the Supreme Court is the highest court”, he said.

When asked if Tinubu was pressuring him to withdraw the issue, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar responded that after the election, he discovered that the president had sent a delegation of governors to get in touch with him.
