Man United came from two goals behind to defeat Aston Villa 3-2 on Boxing Day. Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund were on target.
However, the pair seems to have been impressed by the performance of another teammate – Kobbie Mainoo.
The 18-year-old has been consistently solid since making his first Premier League start against Everton last month, and he continued his fine form against the Villans.
“What a player,” Garnacho wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him and Mainoo. In reaction, Hojlund posted a love emoji.
Mainoo had 49 touches, completed 34 passes, won five out of the six aerial duels he challenged for, made three clearances, won two of the three tackles he attempted and made one interception.
