Some Mouth Signs That Indicates You May Have HIV

When you have HIV, your immune system will be affected negatively and there are some mouth signs that will begin to manifest due to this. A verified health site, Healthline revealed these mouth signs.

Below are them

Canker Sores

Individuals with HIV may develop canker sores, which are also called aphthous ulcers. These are painful sores that usually appear as small white or gray wounds on the soft tissue inside the mouth.

HPV-Related Bumps

Human papilloma virus (HPV) can cause painless white bumps or warts around the mouth or lips. While they are usually painless, they may bleed if disturbed. These warts are more common with a weakened immune system caused by HIV.

Oral Herpes

When your immune system has been weakened by HIV you will tend to develop Oral herpes. This tends to affect different areas of your mouth like lips, gums, tongue, and inside the cheeks, known as cold sores.
