Rasmus Hojlund explains what Casemiro said to him when grabbing his shirt during Manchester United’s clash at Arsenal
Rasmus Hojlund has revealed what Casemiro said to him when the Brazilian grabbed his shirt at Arsenal.
Hojlund was on the end of some serious passion from Casemiro
It turns out Casemiro was being passionate and loved his performance
Before Declan Rice and Gabriel Jesus found the net, though, fans spotted Hojlund – who signed from Atalanta in a £72million deal this summer – and Casemiro appearing to have a fiery exchange.
The midfielder looked as if he was trying to fire up the Denmark international, grabbing his shirt before shoving him back.
But now, Hojlund has revealed that his new teammate was enjoying the new lease of life he’d given the Red Devils up top after he came on for Antony Martial.
As quoted by The Sun, Man United’s summer signing said: “He [Casemiro] just said something in Spanish, ‘vamos’ or something like that.
“He was happy that I gave the team perhaps a slightly different dynamic than what you get from Martial.
“He’s maybe a little more technically strong and looks down the gaps where I like to take the fights.
“After all, he hasn’t seen me play before, so he told me he was pleasantly surprised to see me play.”
Hojlund is now away on international duty with Denmark where they face San Marino and Finland in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
