Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag wants the club to sign 28-year-old midfielder, Leon Goretzka.
According to El Nacional, Ten Hag has urged the Man United hierarchy to sanction a move for Goretzka, who currently plays for Bayern Munich.
The Dutchman reckons Goretzka is the ideal midfielder to complement both Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in his midfield.
As a result, Manchester United are set to make a concrete approach for Goretzka, who was previously linked with Real Madrid.
Goretzka is valued by Bayern Munich at €65million.
The Germany international has long been one of Bayern’s valuable players since joining from FC Schalke in 2018.
Goretzka has made 179 appearances across competitions, scoring 34 goals and providing 35 assists for the Bundesliga champions.
