Nigerian actress, Iniobong Edo Ekim, known popularly as Ini Edo has disclosed why she chose a surrogate to birth her child.
The actress opened up in an interview with Chude where she also spoke on various other matters that concern her from the businesses she ventured into, to when she was hit by a scandal and her past marriage.
However, as she spoke about her reason for surrogacy, Ini Edo explained that she has had miscarriages in the past, so she got tired of trying and she does not have a husband. She also stated she still wanted a child for herself whether she had a husband or not, and she wanted it to be her child with her eggs.
Ini Edo said: “I chose a surrogate because I had couple of miscarriages, and I just got tired of trying. I don’t have a husband, so I wanted a child for myself whether I have a husband or not. So what other option could I have had? And I wanted it to be my child, my egg. So thankfully, my eggs are good, so I did that.”
