Favour & Joy: The 15-year-old Anambra girls in same school who scored highest in JAMB, 369 & 362 respectively

The results of 2023 Joint Admission And Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination are out, and Okaforagu Favour and Ejikeme Joy Nmesoma who are all students of Anglican Girls Secondary School Uruagu, Nnewi Anambra state scored 369 and 362 respectively, reports assert.

It’s been moments of celebrations as their teachers, parents, fellow students and others join in celebrating the young stars for their great feat.

Anambra has always been known to have a record of academic excellence, and that record has always been kept for a long time now.

Someone wrote: “Congratulations to them.”

Notwithstanding, in the same Southeast, a new record is set in the just-concluded 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

As reported by The Nation, 15-year-old Lotanna Azuokeke of Bishop Otubelu Juniorate, Trans Ekulu, Enugu State, set the new record after scoring 99 marks in Mathematics, 88 in chemistry, 86 in physics, and 64 in the English Language, racking up overall 337 points.

This development was made known in a statement issued by Dr Chiwuike Uba, the spokesperson for the school’s founder.

According to Uba, the 15-year-old smashed the record earlier set by Chidera Obi, who scored 329 marks five years ago.
