Though You Contributed To My Victory In 2023 Election, I Owe You Nothing – Tinubu Tells Gov. Wike

The president-elect Bola Tinubu was asked to open the Rumuokwuta/Rumuola flyover bridge in Rivers State by the state’s governor, Nyesom Wike, it is well known.

Twelve flyover bridges were built between 2019 and 2023, according to Wike, who spoke at the event. He said that the construction of the bridges should have been handled by the federal government and that, if elected president, Tinubu will reimburse Rivers State for the funds expended on the projects.

Wike asked Tinubu for something, but Tinubu stated that he owes Wike nothing in his response. Wike’s performance as governor was praised by the speaker after it. He said, “I owe you nothing, not for the 12 flyovers, nor for the return demand. You are the one who lives on these roads; thus, you are not allowed to chuckle at me or make demands. However, you must lobby me. I appreciate your effort.
