CHE 0:2 BRE: Chelsea’s Embarrassing Defeat Explains Why Reappointing Lampard Was A Huge Mistake

Chelsea were active in the English Premier League today when they welcomed Brentford to the Stamford Bridge Stadium on Wednesday evening. The Blues might have had a good performance in the game but still couldn’t get the desired result as they suffered an embarrassing 2-0 defeat to the Bees. An own goal from Cesar Azpilicueta and a fine finish from Bryan Mbeumo made sure Brentford had all three points secured from the encounter.

Well, Chelsea suffered another defeat in the English Premier today as they were beaten by this out-of-form Brentford side. Since Frank Lampard rejoined the Blues, the team have suffered five losses out of their five matches under his management this season. This is obviously a terrible statistic for Frank Lampard who was brought into the team to improve their performance from where Graham Potter left off. At the moment every match the Blues play in the competition looks like they are going to get defeated irrespective of the team they face either strong or weak.

Well, I believe Chelsea’s embarrassing defeat in this game explains why reappointing Frank Lampard was a huge mistake made by the club. The English Manager shouldn’t have been brought back to the team after his awful managerial performance at Brighton. Todd Bohley has made several costly mistakes for the Blues this season and reappointing Frank Lampard is definitely one of them.
