Kylian Mbappe on His Perfect Player: “I Would Choose Messi’s Left Foot, Neymar’s Right Foot, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Mentality and Buffon’s Class.”

Kylian Mbappe is no doubt one of the best soccer players at the moment. The French striker at the young age of 24 has achieved more than many are even able to achieve in their career for both club PSG and country, France. Kylian Mbappe is a 5x French champion with both PSG and his former club AS Monaco.

He also has a World Cup to his name, and he came close to winning another one last year. However, despite his best efforts and a hat trick in the final, his efforts fell short against Lionel Messi and Argentina. Mbappe for his sensational performance last year is also one of the three finalists for this year’s FIFA Best Men’s Player award.

However, what does this sensation player think a perfect player is like?

Kylian Mbappe presents his perfect player

According to a 2018 Eurosport report, a question was put forward to the 19-year-old Mbappe on how would design for the player on who he models himself. Mbappe said, “I would choose Messi’s left foot, Neymar’s right foot, Cristiano Ronaldo’s mentality and Buffon’s class”.

What makes Mbappe’s perfect player so special is the combination of some of the best attributes that any soccer player could hope for. Messi’s left foot is arguably the best in the world. It’s hard to find a weakness in Neymar‘s game, but one that surely is not a weakness would be his right foot.

Cristiano Ronaldo‘s mentality is what sets him apart from the rest. He is a born winner and will never give up. And finally, Gianluigi Buffon was a true gentleman of the game and an excellent role model for any young player. That’s quite a tall order, but it’s also a testament to the high regard in which Mbappe holds all of these players.

Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar’s next enormous challenge

With a front three of Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar, any team would hope to perform well and certainly move forward in European competitions. However, PSG faces the hard task of avoiding an early exit from the UEFA Champions League after losing in the Round of 16 to FC Bayern Munich.

PSG lost their first-leg match-up 1-0 with Mbappe only joining the action off the bench in the 57th minute due to fitness issues. Despite this loss, there’s still hope in the second leg. PSG will be relying heavily on some star performances from their front trio if they are to stand a chance of progressing.
