Juve reacts as the club drops to 10th position after 15 points was officially deducted from them

A few weeks ago, several members of the Juventus board resigned from their position due to an ongoing financial investigation. The investigation has been concluded with Serie A passing out a strict punishment for the club.

The Serie A’s FIGC Prosecutor has ruled that Juventus will be given a 15-point deduction as a result of the “Plusvalenza Case”, the club’s capital gain violations. With this reduction, Juventu’s points were reduced from 37 to 22. The club also dropped from 3rd to 10th position.

Reacting to the punishment, Juventus has issued a press release concerning the judgment. Part of it read; “Company awaiting the publication of the reasons and announces as of now the appeal to the Sports Guarantee College in terms of the Sports Justice Code”.

Other punishments in the scandal are 2.5 years of inhibition to carry out football activities for Fabio Paratici, 2 years for Agnelli and Arrivabene, 8 months for Nedved, and 1.4 years for Juve’s current Sports Director Cherubini.
