On his return to Camp Nou, former coach Ernesto Valverde suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Xavi’s Barcelona.
In the post-match presser, the 58-year-old admitted that he got outplayed by the young Barca coach.
“Xavi’s tactical plan was great. His approach with 4 midfielders and Pedri on the left caught me off guard. It bothered us and they were superior to us,” the Athletic Bilbao coach said.
