According to the Punch,on last week Wednesday, 12th October 2022 there was commotion in the community of Temu, which is located in the Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area in Epe, Lagos state after a student named Nureni Kekereowo,20 years of age was killed in a painful way.
The student from Senior Secondary School 3 was believed to have passed away on October 12,2022 after he revealed that two of his close buddies, one named Daniel who is 19 years of age and the other named Sunday who is just another adolescent, supposedly used him for blood money.
Sadly,before he passed away, Nureni was quoted,saying that the two above-mentioned friends asked him to come over so they could eat together, and shortly after he finished the meal, he started feeling sleepy and dozed off,adding that when he awoke, he was carrying a calabash on his head.
However,Olatunji Ajao, a local resident,who is originally from Epe, Lagos state, was crying uncontrollably as he recounted the unpleasant experience of the deceased, mentioning that Nureni lost his life after confessing all what he went through in the hands of his friends.
He said,“Nureni said his friends, Daniel and Sunday, called him to visit them, but he did not respond. When he eventually went, they gave him food. He said they put something on his head and that was how his neck became stiff and he could not turn it. He was in pain throughout the time he was unconscious till he died. The boys are not indigenes of this town; they are from Calabar, Cross River State”.
