A ghastly motor accident has claimed the lives of six Islamic clerics in Kano state on Wednesday after Islamic propagation outreach, Da’awah.
the clerics were returning from Da’awah in Sumaila Local Government area, supported by Imam Malik Islamic Foundation.
A staff of the foundation, who did not want to be mentioned, said they had received the news of the incident at about 3:00pm.
According to her, the information they received was that all six clerics, who were the leaders of the da’awah had died.
She said the deceased were under the leadership of Sheikh Alkassim Zakariyya, who had also died in the accident.
“We have now assembled at the foundation in Dakata area. We are now proceeding to the residence of Sheik Alkassim Zakariyya for their burial,” she said.
When contacted, the spokesperson of Federal Road Safety Corp, FRSC, Abdullahi Labaran, said the command is yet to receive the information, but he would investigate the incident.
