Celebrated Ghanaian footballer and former captain of the national team, Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has eulogized Dancehall musician, Shatta Wale in a recent interview.

Asamoah Gyan told Peace FM’s Kwame Sefa Kayi during a live interview on the radio that he was in the same class (JHS), Shatta Wale, at Seven Great Princess Academy.

Asamoah Gyan said most people don’t understand Shatta Wale when he does some things or makes certain utterances in the music industry he does not take things personal but he understands the music business and that is what informs what he does.

According to the former Sunderland striker, Shatta Wale is not controversial as some think but he only tries to be relevant for the game.

He recounted how he and Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah Mensah was mocked in class when they announced what they wanted to be in future in terms of their careers.
