Mummy GO who suddenly became an instant internet celebrity after videos of her controversial ‘hell fire’ preachings went viral could not be found in her church on Sunday.

Some Nigerians who visited her church located at Adeyefa street in Iyana-Ipaja on Sunday disclosed that the preacher was absent all through the service.

The Twitter users stated some church members were seen standing in groups, discussing in hushed tones as they watched those arriving for service.

According to the users, at the entrance of the church were various inscriptions and guidelines for members and guests to follow.

The guidelines include non-usage of mobile devices, non-wearing of trousers, jewellery of any kind, hair extensions for women, revealing clothes, and crowns.

The controversial preacher had claimed that some preachers sent gunmen after her following her controversial sermons.

Speaking to BBC Pidgin, the cleric revealed that assassins have chased her vehicle with some coming to the church to warn her to desist from such sermons.

She said “They (other preachers) tell me, many of our members hear your message, and they pull out of our church. If you don’t stop, we will kill you.

“I thought it was just a threat until we started seeing gunmen chase us while driving, coming to our church to threaten us and so on.
