Former Barcelona and Cameroonian striker, Samuel Eto’o has been elected as the new president of the Cameroon Football Federation.

He was elected as president of one of the African most powerful football federations today after voting was concluded.

His election comes at a time Cameroon is set to host the whole of Africa as the AFCON 2022 which will start in January 2022 will be held there.

He would also be looking to bring back the passion of football in Cameroon as he hopes to restore Cameroon to its rightful place when it comes to football in Africa.

In other news, the Black Stars of Ghana would be looking forward to winning the upcoming African Cup of Nations for the first time in about four decades.

The team which is now in the managerial hands of Serbian trainer, Milovan Rajevic is currently camped in Dubai with the tournament set to take place in Cameroon.

The team is drawn in the same group with Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
