The Department of State Services (DSS) has apprehended Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in Lagos State.
Emefiele’s arrest came as he was allegedly attempting to flee the country through a land border.
The video of his arrest shows his being taken by DSS officials to an aircraft.
This development follows a series of events that started with his suspension by President Bola Tinubu. Initially, the DSS had denied having custody of Emefiele, contradicting reports that surfaced on Saturday morning.
