Jurgen Klopp opens up on the heated exchange between him and Salah in the West Ham United Match

Liverpool’s clash with West Ham saw more than just on-field action, as tensions flared between manager Jurgen Klopp and star forward Mohamed Salah, according to Evening Standard. The Egyptian found himself on the bench following a lackluster display in the Merseyside derby against Everton. As Salah awaited his chance to enter the fray, Michail Antonio struck for West Ham, leveling the score at 2-2.

Klopp approached Salah on the touchline, sparking a heated exchange that required intervention from teammates Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez.

When pressed for details on the confrontation, Klopp remained tight-lipped, stating, “No. But we spoke already in the dressing room, for me that’s done.”

He hinted at Salah also considering the issue resolved, saying, “That was my impression, yeah.”

Klopp also opened up on his side’s profligacy, with 28 shots failing to secure victory, which further decreases their chances of winning the EPL.

“We just conceded out of nothing and need a few more chances and kind of scrappy goals in the end to score twice,” Klopp said.

“That has been the story of the last four weeks.”
