Petition seeking to recall Natasha does not meet constitutional requirement, INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that the petition seeking the recall of Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, has failed to meet the necessary constitutional requirements.
This announcement was made in a post shared on its official X page on Thursday, April 3.
According to INEC, the recall petition did not satisfy the provisions of Section 69(a) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
“The petition for the recall of the Senator representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District has not met the requirement of Section 69(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended),” the commission wrote on X.
