EPL: Liverpool overtakes Man City, Arsenal to go top of table after Wolves win
Liverpool will be top of the Premier League ahead of the next set of fixtures, following their narrow 2-1 win at Wolves on Saturday evening.
Arne Slot’s men came into the game knowing three points would take them to the summit.
Manchester City had played out a 1-1 draw at Newcastle United, while Arsenal beat Leicester City 4-2.
The results saw City and Arsenal go joint top on 14 points.
But Mohamed Salah’s second-half penalty ensured Liverpool now has 15 points after Rayan Ait-Nouri cancelled out Ibrahima Konate’s opener.
Chelsea are currently in fourth place with 13 points.
