Zidane names TWO coaches who transformed his career

“As a coach, I learned a great deal from both Lippi and Carlo Ancelotti,” Zinedine Zidane told Sky Sports.

Zidane played under Marcelo Lippiduring his career in Italy with Juventus.

“He [Lippi] told me that I would finish playing with Juventus, play well, and in the end it went like this. So it was important to me. We won also things with him, but not just with me. We had an impressive team, he was an awesome coach.

However, it was under Ancelotti at Real Madrid that Zizou would gain his first experience in football management. Carletto named the Frenchman as part of his coaching staff in 2013 before ultimately handing over the reins in 2016.

“I learnt a lot from Ancelotti and now I follow my own path,” Zidane says.

Zizou also declared his intention to return to coaching soon. The 51-year-old has been unemployed since leaving Real Madrid in 2021.

Zidane won three Champions League and two La Liga titles during his spells as Real Madrid manager.
