The Super Eagles Of Nigeria has returned back to Nigeria after their defeat to Cote D’Ivoire in the final of the 2024 AFCON and the reception they received from supporters at the airport despite the fact that they didn’t bring home the trophy was absolutely top notch and that’s amazing.

Recall that few days ago, The Super Eagles Of Nigeria locked horns with Cote D’Ivoire in the final of the 2024 AFCON and it wasn’t a good night for Jose Peseiro and his men as they lost the game after giving up a one goal lead.

Troost Ekong opened the scoreline for the Super Eagles courtesy of a brilliant header in the first half but they were unable to hold on to that for long as Kessie scored a beautiful goal from inside the 18 yard box to put Cote D’Ivoire back on level terms.

Borussia Dortmund man, Haller scored again for Ivory Coast few minutes later after slotting home a beautiful cross from Adingra and that was all they needed to clinch the trophy. The Super Eagles have now returned back to the country after finishing second in the tournament, they reportedly touched down at 12:30 am earlier today and loads of people were present at the Airport to receive and welcome them.

SA media to the Minister Of Sports Development, Diana Mary Nsan shared a video clip of the moment the players arrived in Nigeria on her official instagram page and she accompanied it with a caption which read: “At 12:30 am, the Super Eagles landed home, led by the honourable Minister Of Sport Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, The NFF President, Ibrahim Musa Gusau”, Diana Mary Nsan wrote and it stirred massive reactions from the general public.
