Harry Kane claimed his second match ball of the season as Bayern Munich beat Darmstadt 8-0 – which will stay with him in his hotel room until he and wife Katie find a home
Harry Kane revealed he’s keeping his Bayern Munich match balls in his hotel room as he’s still not found a house.
The England striker scored his second hat-trick of the season as Bayern beat Darmstadt 8-0. And his second strike was reminiscent of fellow countrymen David Beckham and Wayne Rooney, as he lobbed the goalkeeper from inside his own half.
Kane now has 14 goals in 13 games, including two trebles, since moving to Germany – where he’s yet to settle down with his family. When asked about his match balls, he told Sky Sports: “I’m just keeping them in my hotel room at the moment.

“I’m still waiting to find a house so yeah I’m just storing them up. This was a nice hat-trick, a couple of nice goals in there.
“But credit to the team, I’ve said it before, with these players around me I know I’m going to get chances. So I’ve just got to make sure I’m in the right places at the right time.”
Kane was reported to have looked at a £29million mansion earlier this month located in a region known as “Germany’s Hollywood”. But he and wife Katie didn’t take their interest any further.
Speaking about the highlight of the match, he added: “I turned on the ball and I just saw the keeper in the corner of my eye in a strange position.
“We were four or five-nil up at the time so I thought why not have a shot and as it was in the air I was just praying for it to dip just below the bar and thankfully it did.”
Kane also touched on the bizarre rule which meant his first Bundesliga hat-trick back in September technically didn’t count. “In England, you score three goals in a game it’s a hat-trick,” he continued.
“I know in Germany you have a different rule, I think three goals in one half the guys were saying is a proper hat-trick so hopefully I can do the same next week and we’ll see.”
