Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola assessed his team’s performance in their defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium this evening. The Spaniard also revealed what Arsenal did differently in the second half which got them the victory.
The Gunners recorded their EPL first win against Manchester City for the first time since December 2015. Arteta has also completed his wins against the 24 teams he has faced in the Premier League. After the first half ended goalless, Arsenal looked different in the second half and fought hard to secure the victory. Thanks to the only goal from Gabriel Martinelli.
However, Guardiola on what Arsenal did differently in the second half that got them the win said “They [Arsenal] started the second half really well with the rhythm. Then it was tight and they got a deflection goal. They won, congratulations to them.” as gathered from Arsenal News
The Man City boss explained that Arsenal started the second half with a different approach and sticking to the rhythm, unlike the first-half which was why they got the victory in the end.
Pep adds that he knows what to do to get his team back on track in their next games.
