PEPT Verdict: Accept Tribunal Judgment On Presidential Election – Ganduje tells PDP and Labour Party

Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called upon opposition political parties to accept the verdict of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, which affirmed President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 25th presidential election.

Ganduje, in a statement released in Abuja, commended the comprehensive nature of the judgment, asserting that it effectively addressed all the concerns raised by the petitioners. He encouraged the opposition to acknowledge the tribunal’s decision and emphasized that future elections would provide opportunities to gauge their popularity and acceptability among the electorate.

He specifically urged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) to collaborate with President Bola Tinubu’s APC-led administration in addressing the challenges facing the country. Ganduje characterized the court’s verdict as an accurate reflection of the presidential election’s outcome and expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s administration would fulfill its electoral promises, working toward the country’s growth and progress for the benefit of all.

Ganduje recognized the determination of the PDP and LP presidential candidates, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, to challenge Tinubu’s victory in the tribunal, which, in his view, demonstrated their faith in the nation’s judicial system. He called on opposition parties to embrace the tribunal’s verdict in good faith, emphasizing that it aligned with democratic principles and the rule of law.

He extended his congratulations to President Tinubu and the countless supporters of the APC who stood by the party throughout the process.
