According to a news that was published by the Vanguard Newspaper online this morning, it was reported that ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly on June 13th, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has given the President of the Senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan, and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila, an assignment to make sure that, the endorsed candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 10th National Assembly are not defeated at the polls.
He said, “Tinubu is currently tackling 3 critical issues since he took over power, wants no distraction and doesn’t want distractions. The President is currently tackling the issue of dwindling revenue, poor infrastructure and epileptic power supply, among others, and he needed to concentrate on putting his team together, to get the desired results.”
Further talking, the source said, “As we are all aware, the National Assembly is very critical. Since the All Progressives Congress, has the highest number of members in both chambers, it was the President’s opinion that the leadership must not be imposed on the two Chambers.”
