Why Jose Mourinho Should Be Considered A Better Manager Than Pep Guardiola.

Currently, Josep Guardiola is regarded by many football fans as the best coach in the world, and it’s not difficult to see why.

Just few days ago, Guardiola’s Man City team annihilated European champions Real Madrid to book a place in the UEFA Champions League final.

What’s more? Well, the Spanish coach could also win his third consecutive Premier League title, a feat no other manager has managed to achieve since Sir. Alex Ferguson did it at Manchester United.

But then, Guardiola is someone that’s always had it the easy way since the beginning of his coaching career.

Remember his first managerial job was at Barcelona where he had the privilege to work with the best players in the world like Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Xavi Hernandez.

From Barça, Guardiola went to Bayern Munich that had just won the UCL under Jupp Heynckes back then in 2013, and then 3 years later, he joined Manchester City where he’s been spending money on players as he likes.

Given the right resources, any other top coach can achieve success at these aforementioned clubs just like Guardiola, but just few can do what Mourinho has done.

Recall that Mourinho won the Europa League with Porto in 2003 and then won the UCL against all odds the following year with same Porto. How many coaches out there can do the same?

Chelsea hadn’t won the EPL for 50 years, but Mourinho joined and won it in his first season.

Inter Milan didn’t win the UCL for 45 years, but Mourinho came and won it. Roma had never won any European Cup in their history, but Mourinho won the Conference League for them last season and has now led them to another European final this term.

Agreed, Pep Guardiola is a great coach, but can he do what Mourinho has done with average teams without spending ridiculous amount of money?

The answer is probably no, and that my friend is the reason the Portuguese coach should be considered a better manager.
