The Nigerian Tribune reported that an Ugandan Pastor named David Ochieng was granted an interview where he narrated how he closed down his church after winning a sports bet.

Pastor David Ochieng said, “when I opened my church, I did so due to greed. I eventually closed it down after winning a sports’ betting of one hundred million naira (N100m).”
Speaking further, the man of God said, “in the first place, I had to open a church after seeing how some pastors make money through the crowds they have.”
Again, the Ugandan man of God said, “shortly after I became a pastor, I started having sleepless nights and weird dreams. This was odd because I barely had such experience before becoming a pastor. Later, I decided to get other ways of making money.”
