Drake Fans Outraged Over $1K Ticket Prices for His New Tour

Drake fans expressed outrage over absurdly high ticket prices to see his “It’s All a Blur” tour with rapper 21 Savage this summer.

Earlier this week, Drake announced his new tour which kicks off in June 2023. The tour is in support of his last three albums: Certified Lover Boy, Honestly, Nevermind and Her Loss, his recent collaboration with 21 Savage.

Aspiring rappers like GloRilla and Finesse2Tymes make it difficult for legitimate rappers to price their tickets affordably.

Promoters are understandably nervous about being sued after recent incidents of violence at rap concerts.

Insurance carriers have hiked their coverage rates, which means legit rappers and singers have to charge more for tickets.

Drake’s tickets go on sale this Friday, March 17. Fans who want to see the ‘Lover Boy’ in person will have to dig deep in their pockets to pay for tickets at $1,000 a pop.

Gone are the days of cheap concerts. R&B singer/songwriter Chris Brown started the trend last year by charging an obscene amount for meet and greets at his shows.

One thing is for sure: Drake will give his fans their money’s worth for $1,000.

The tour will kick off in New Orleans on June 16th with stops in cities like Nashville, Houston, Dallas, Miami, and Atlanta.
