According to Abayomi Arabambi, who is working as the national publicity secretary for the political party, the organization cannot afford to throw away the more than 100,000 votes that the people of the state cast for its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the next contest for governor.
Dapo Abiodun, who was first elected in the general elections of 2019 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, will square off against a number of other challenging opponents in the subsequent fight for governor. This contest is scheduled to take place in 2019.
“LP members cannot sit back and fold their arms on election day and squander their votes because the party does not have a gubernatorial candidate in the State,” said Abayomi Arabambi. “This is because the party does not have a gubernatorial candidate in the State.”

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party, received 85,829 votes in Ogun State, which held elections on February 25. After the candidate for the People’s Democratic Party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and the candidate for President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he ended in third place.
Meanwhile, Peter Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, has assembled his legal team in preparation to challenge Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
